Parque del Mar

The audio tour starts at the Parc de la Mar, a charming square with a small salty lake, which faces the Cathedral and the Almudaina Palace. This square was built over the sea, in the ’60s, while Majorca witnessed a tourism boom.

Can Forteza Rey

This splendorous monument, originally built in the early 1900's is one of the Art Nouveau jewels of Palma.

Bar Abaco

This typical noble Majorcan house, formerly called “Can Marcel, was built in the seventeenth century. Now this historic building hosts a beautiful lounge bar with a rustic and authentic design. A perfect place to make a stop during the tour!

Santa Eulalia

This church is one of the oldest churches of Majorca, built in the thirteenth century. Actually, the first kings of Majorca were crowned in Santa Eulalia Church before the Cathedral was completed in 1601. The interior is richly decorated in baroque style, and it’s free to visit.

Passeig des Born

In the past, the torrent of Sa Riera flowed through this street, and divided the city in two parts. Knights’ tournaments were organised along this torrent.

Placa de Cort

This charming central square is the Mile Zero of Palma. We’ll finish the audio tour at this place, which is steeped in history.

Placa Major

This beautiful square was built at the middle of the nineteenth century. Every year, it hosts the feast day of Saint Sebastian, on the 19th of January. This is the celebration of the patron saint of Palma, one of the most important of Majorca.

Catedral de Mallorca

The Cathedral of Palma, also called the Cathedral of Light, or the “Seu”, is the crown jewel of the city. The construction of this beautiful gothic monument started in 1230 and was completed 371 years later, in 1601. Nowadays, it is a tremendous source of pride to the Majorcans.

Palau de l'Almudaina

This Arabic king Palace, built in the tenth century, is the oldest monument of Palma. Nowadays, it is the official King Residence, where the King Philip VI receives official visitors such as Presidents from other countries. This Palace is also a museum and a Military building.

Sa Llotja

This beautiful Gothic style building built in 1428 used to be the former maritime stock exchange. It is one of the jewels of Palma, open to public, and the admission is free.
