Donnelly House

The Donnelly House is a beautiful Queen Anne style home built for the Love of his Life in 1893 by JP Donnelly. JP was one of the Founders of the local Yacht Club, the First Mayor of Mount Dora and quite the character. There is a twist here though and we’ll give you the low down on our Historic Downtown Electric Cart Tour.

As we guide you through the 5+ acre property of the oldest continuously running hotel in Florida, you’ll learn the story behind The Historic Lakeside Inn. A Victorian Hotel with beautiful lush grounds, it opened in 1883 on the banks of Lake Dora. It has been a favorite vacation spot and even a safe haven for many famous and infamous characters.

Grandview Bed and Breakfast Mount Dora

The Grandview Bed and Breakfast was built in the early 1900’s and sits on over an acre of land near downtown Mount Dora. In its early days it was surrounded by many acres of orange groves and the windmill that pumped water for irrigation still stands on the property. On your tour, you’ll discover the invention of its original owner and be amazed at its beauty and its history!

Magnolia Inn Bed & Breakfast

The Magnolia Inn was built in 1926 at the height of the Florida boom as a residence for a wealthy gentleman from the Northeast. He not only owned the town newspaper at the time but was one of the founders and huge supporter of the First National Bank of Mount Dora. There is more to the story. Come join us, we’re happy to share what we know with you!
