What to expect
JOGLIS
After a briefing on the history of the Imperial Palace and the rules of the Imperial Palace Run at JOGLIS, we set off for the Imperial Palace Run! If you wish to use the changing lockers and showers at JOGLIS, an additional 1,500 yen will be charged.
Hanzo-mon Gate
The running tour will start from Hanzomon, one of the entrances to the Imperial Palace. You can see the National Theatre and the Diet Building as you descend Miyake-zaka, said to be the most beautiful slope in Tokyo. (No tours will be provided. We will view a part of the outside)
Sakurada-mon
You will pass under Sakuradamon, the largest gate in the Imperial Palace. Hear about the belief in Mt. Fuji, which is cherished by many Japanese, and recharge your energy at the Imperial Palace, a power spot!

Two-tiered Bridge (Ni-ju Bashi)
You will visit the Nijubashi Bridge, one of the most beautiful bridges in the Imperial Palace.Let’s take a commemorative photo!
Tokyo Station
At Gyoko-dori Avenue, the finish area of the Tokyo Marathon, you can talk about the secrets of Tokyo Station and the Emperor and the Tokyo Marathon! Then you will take pictures like the finish line scene of the marathon.
From here you will enter the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace. Before entering the garden, there is a baggage inspection. This Ote-mon Gate was the main gate of Edo Castle. Once inside, you will be greeted by a "Shachihoko" as it was in the Edo period. Here you can take a restroom break and visit souvenir shops related to the Imperial Household.
Fujimi-yagura
You can see the beautiful turrets that served as a substitute for the Edo Castle keep. We call this our "little castle".
Tenshudai (Remains of the main tower)
The stone walls of the Edo Castle keep can be seen. The castle keep, which was destroyed by fire, can no longer be seen, but a reconstructed model can be seen.
Return to the outside of the Imperial Palace through the "Kitahanebashi" Gate, which was a drawbridge of the Edo Castle. From here, the uphill climb begins, but run at your own pace and enjoy the running!
Imperial Palace
Daikancho Street was a street where daimyo residences were located during the Edo period. It is also known as a cherry blossom viewing spot.
Chidorigafuchi Park, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, we will teach you the secrets of cherry trees that Japanese people cherish.
JOGLIS
When you return to JOGLIS, you will be dismissed. Those who pay to use the facilities at JOGLIS may take a shower.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
