What to expect

Experience how to make instant miso soup using soybean miso, a darker and more reddish brown colour miso with a stronger and richer taste than the worldwide known Shiromiso (white miso). Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning produced by fermenting soybeans and acclaimed among Japanese people as one of the staple foods which plays an important nutritional role in Japanese culinary culture. After watching an introductory video about miso production, we will make a visit to the miso warehouse where you will find wooden barrels with more than 100 years of history that are still used nowadays in the production of miso.We will go to our kitchen studio to make a tasting of 3 different types of miso and we will get more familiar with their different flavours depending on their ingredients and their fermentation periods. After that, let's enjoy blending miso with different aging years and ingredients at a mansion in Japan to make and taste instant miso soup "Miso Maru".
