    Had a great time and learned so much from Alexa. She’s a great teacher. Highly recommend if you’re even slightly interested in glass making. You won’t regret it.

    The glass blowing experience was wonderful. The staff are knowledgeable, skilled, encouraging and helpful with the hands on parts of the workshop. Husband and I plan to come back and bring the kids. Highly recommend!

    This is my 2nd time glassblowing @ The Melting Point. Both summers I've been blessed to have Alexa Rose guide me. She is funny, warm and a great teacher. She walks you thru, helps you do and sometimes completely does all of the tasks necessary to end up with a beautiful "you-blown" glass project...:) People who can hear well, and follow directions will do well. If you have a group member who is hard of hearing, it may be difficult for them, as the workshop is LOUD (and hot). I highly recommend lightweight clothing and water! Overall the process is simply, you pick your project, then pick some colors (they can help you figure out good color combos) you roll some glass on the end of the pipe...do a few other magic tricks with tools of the trade...and viola.... you end up with a piece of blown glass, that needs to stay the night to "do its thing"...you pick it up the next day...or if you forget (like I did) they can ship it home to you! Overall its a great way to spend the day, AND end up with a really cool souvenir. I highly recommend this adventure! I know I will be back again next summer... to make something else! Oh... they also have tons of other cool glass blown objects done by professionals, that you can buy....earrings, animals, beads, tchotchkes etc!

    Alexa was outstanding!! So knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about her craft. We had a blast and would love to do this again. She made us feel at home and was very encouraging. Loved every minute of this experience!

    We took our grandchildren, ages 13 & 18. It was a great experience! Greg was patient, professional & funny. We each picked a different piece to make. The kids really enjoyed holding the rods & twirling them while the glass end was in the furnace. They loved dipping the hot glass in the colors they chose & using the big tongs to form their pieces. We are all excited to go back today & pick up our finished work!
