Kakadu Air Scenic Flights

Kakadu enjoys two major climatic seasons, the "Wet" and the "Dry" season. Commencement and termination of Wet & Dry seasons by month for our flights are determined by the weather. If you are visiting in a transitional period E.G Nov-May and you have your heart set on a certain flight path, it is best to contact the Kakadu team direct to confirm. Dry season (Jun - Nov) Passing the Ranger Uranium Mine across to Dinosaur Valley, fly through Upper East Alligator Valley viewing deep fault lines, view the outliers created from erosion, then follow the twists and turns of the stunning East Alligator River, turning home over the Magela floodplains, with one last view of Jabiru Town to see the famous Crocodile Hotel Wet Season -  Passing the Ranger Mine, across Mt Brockman, and along the escarpment to “Lightning Dreaming". After crossing Deaf Adder Gorge, we take in the beautiful Double Falls. Fly across the Arnhem Plateau until it drops away to reveal breathtaking Jim Jim and Twin Falls.

Absolutely fantastic. Cannot recommend doing this highly enough. Organisation was easy, friendly admin staff, great pilot - all too easy. But the actual flight itself was breathtaking with the scenery. You can't appreciate Kakadu fully until you fly over it, even if it is only part of it.

The flight was spectacular. Our pilot was very professional and the take off and landing very smooth. The scenery was just beautiful and a great way to see the wetlands

This is one of the best ways to appreciate the different landscapes within the park. Our pilot (Cian?) gave us a smooth ride over the stone lands, flood plains and Cahills Crossing, with informative commentary. Seeing sunset from this vantage point was a memorable experience. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience seeing Kakadu from the air. The views were amazing and pilot Zac made sure both sides of the plane saw each water fall and formation

An awesome experience from start to finish. We chose to drive from Darwin as we had a hire car. The drive isn’t especially scenic and only one a couple of stops with facilities. The negatives stop there! I gave this 5 starts because the experience itself is a 5 start experience from start to finish. Our pilot and guide, Cain, was friendly and knowledgeable detailing the history of the region, both natural history as well as the indigenous Dreamtime stories (sorry if that is the wrong word). A definite must do.

If there's one tour to do when visiting Kakadu, don't go past the scenic flight you get to see the expanse of the country that you miss out on from the ground. Highly recommend

We loved our one-hour flight with Kakadu Air. Being the end of the wet season we were able to see Jim Jim and Twin Falls flowing. All passengers on board were treated to multiple passes of the incredible views. Our knowledgeable pilot also pointed out other waterfalls which are inaccessible on the ground, such as Double Falls. I would highly recommend this experience!

Lovely little 8 seater aircraft with pilot commentary throughout. Lucky with the weather seeing Kakadu in the wet season. Clever pilot got us good views of the waterfalls despite cloud cover. Also very interesting about the area, the ancient ancestral sights and even the filming of Crocodile Dundee in the area.

Really good way to appreciate just how big Kakadu is and see parts of the park that cant be accessed from land. The pilots commentary was very informative. A good way to start a holiday in Kakadu

I had a brilliant time on our scenic flight. The pilot (Kenzie?) was fabulous and gave so much information. It was a great tour around the park, seeing sights that were inaccessible as they were subject to seasonal closure (eg Twin Falls and Jim Jim Falls). Unfortunately, the April weather was a bit windy and my two family members suffered motion sickness (so just be aware). However, the company is well prepared for this so it was no drama. If you can the third row of seats probably offers the best, unobstructed views
