What to expect
Firstly, we visit Jvari Monastery, where travelers can enjoy breathtaking views of Mtskheta, along with the picturesque confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. This historic site offers a serene and scenic introduction to the region.
After the tour at Jvari Monastery, we drive down to Mtskheta, known as the religious center of Georgia. In Mtskheta, we visit the magnificent Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning architecture and historical significance.
The next stop is Uplistsikhe, the ancient city of caves. Built in the first millennium BC, this fascinating complex features a network of handmade caves, showcasing the ingenuity and architectural prowess of its creators.
After the tour in Uplistikhe is finished, we will have a lunch break. Afterwards, we drive to Gori to visit the Joseph Stalin House-Museum.
