What to expect

We depart Nairobi promptly at 5 a.m. to make the most of the day, arriving around 8 a.m. Upon arrival, we begin a game drive after completing entry formalities. The game drive continues until around noon. During the drive, you may spot endangered black and white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, lions, leopards, and more. Lake Nakuru is also rich in birdlife, including the iconic pink flamingos when in season. We may choose to have lunch at a lodge within Lake Nakuru park or at a hotel near Lake Naivasha. Afterward, we proceed to Lake Naivasha to enjoy a boat ride on this freshwater Rift Valley lake, where you can see hippos, small game, and a variety of bird species. Tour highlights include: Lake Nakuru National Park with its rhino sanctuary and hundreds of bird species like flamingos and pelicans Stunning views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment Scenic viewpoints such as Makalia Falls Lake Naivasha boat ride and birdwatching (seasonal flamingos, pelicans, and other species) We return to Nairobi by approximately 6 p.m.

During the game drive we may see endangered black and white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, lions, leopards, and more. Lake Nakuru is also rich in birdlife, including the iconic pink flamingos when in season. Next, we head to Lake Naivasha to enjoy a boat ride on this freshwater Rift Valley lake, spotting hippos, small game, and various bird species.
