What to expect
Rocotuyo
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Huaraz between 8.30-9.00am and drive 2.5 hours to Marcara where we will stop for breakfast. We then drive through Huascaran National Park and are dropped off at Lake Rocotuyoc at 4400m (an additional 10 soles community fee is paid here to local administration). From here we walk 40 minutes to Melting Lake and will have 1 hour to enjoy the views and take pictures. We then return to Lake Rocotuyoc where we will spend 40 mins. On our drive to lunch in Marcara we will pass by a waterfall and Inca paintings. After lunch we drive 2.5 hours and return to Huaraz at 17.30.
