This was a sisters special birthday treat and it couldn’t have been better when you become a tourist in your own city. Cathy was so knowledgeable and presented all the history in such a way that you were totally engrossed in the stories around the buildings, the laneways, the artworks and the wonderful vibrancy that is Melbourne.

I really wasn’t expecting a history lesson so it was very interesting … Sam is so knowledgeable … the walking was easy not far at all. The cathedral is beautiful… the laneways could be confronting (this may be just an age thing) …. but with Sam as our guide it was great way to view the streets … the buildings and actually feel Melbourne’s special vibe. coffee and cake at Brunetti’s was delicious …. I actually took the family there later in the day 😋 So …. Thank you .. Sam … it was great 😁

We thoroughly enjoyed the Laneways tour. Our guide Sam was extremely informative and we learnt a lot about the history of Melbourne, architecture, planning, and street art. The best part was, it gave me the confidence to travel around Melbourne by myself and get out and about in the laneways to experience the wonderful eclectic vibe of Melbourne city.

San was a fantastic guide and we got personalised attention being only four of us. Learned so many things and discovered many new places we would have never come across on our own.

This was a great tour!. San was an excellent guide and we feel like we got a good flavor of Melbourne. We went to St Pauls cathedral, and several of the arcades in town. San knew all the history and great stories about each place. We loved the graffiti streets and San took us to several different places and explained a lot of what we were seeing to us. We highly recommend this tour.

What a great day we had with our tour leader Cathy. Her knowledge of Melbourne was fantastic & provided us with a good background for what we saw. An easy 3hr walking tour which everyone enjoyed. Recommend this tour to all ages & give Cathy a gold star for being our tour leader 👍😉😘

Having visited Melbourne on several previous occasions, this was a great way of doing more than just reading information or wandering aimlessly through. Rob, our guide, brought the story of the evolution of Melbourne's history from its early settlement through to the current use as a city. He clearly has a great knowledge of building materials, dates and styles. His enthusiasm about the cultural change that has influenced the society that used the laneways and the development of the cafe culture is infectious. Well worth the three hour walk.
