    The lesson was a little confusing and very fast. They had too many people, and we could barely hear the instructors. I consider myself an experienced dancer but they had me with the beginners group which was frustrating. FYI: The dance lesson was taught in spanish

    Amazing! I had a wonderful time, I had so much fun, I explored Mexico safely, and I always felt supported! What I enjoyed most were the salsa classes, but everything was so much fun, safe, and lovely. I highly recommend it! Thank you!

    Rich taught my party of 14 how to salsa and it was a night we still talk about a year later. Our night at Mama Rumba was wonderful, made better by our instructor Rich who I had been seeing around a few weeks before/ when my friends came to visit a few weeks later he made our night magical, teaching everyone how to keep up with the dances and encouraging everyone to participate. I am so late to writing this review but I cannot recommend Rich enough to facilitate your evening at Mama Rumba.

    I went solo and was a bit hesitant before arriving. I absolutely loved every part of the experience. Everything was explained very well beforehand, the community was welcoming and the dancing was a great time. I highly recommend this experience to everyone.

    Visiting Mexico City with no plans for the night? Solo traveler? Let’s dance salsa! You don’t need a partner or any prior experience. We’ll visit one of the city's most iconic dance halls to join a group class—the perfect way to meet people and have fun! The Experience: Warm-up: We'll start with a previous "crash course" where I’ll give you the local tips you need to enjoy the night. The Class: A high-energy, 1-hour session with a larger group. Expect to learn new moves and work up a sweat! The Party: After class, the floor is ours. Practice your moves during the "social dance" with live music from a real salsa band. Perfect for solo travelers looking for a safe and fun night out with locals. The venue closes between 2:00 and 3:00 AM, so you can dance the night away! Important Details: Meeting Time: 8:25 PM - 8:35 PM. Please be punctual! We follow the venue's schedule and cannot wait for late arrivals. Requirements: Bring your ID (18+ only) and wear comfortable clothes. Extras: Delicious mojitos and snacks are available for purchase. Traveling with friends? We also host large groups!     Let's dance salsa! You don't need a partner or previous experience, we are going to visit one of the most famous places in the city. If you are visiting the city and don't know where to go, this experience is perfect, you will not be alone and we will have fun dancing to live music! The meeting time will be 8:25-8:35, it is very important that you arrive on time, we are subject to an itinerary of the place so we cannot make modifications or wait for anyone. You will receive an express half-hour explanation where we will explain everything you need to enjoy the night. We will take a fun one hour salsa class with a larger group where we will learn salsa and sweat a lot. At the end of class we will be able to join in social dances with our classmates and enjoy live music played by the band!!! The place closes between 2 and 3 am, you are free to stay as long as you want to dance. Don't forget to wear comfortable clothing and bring your ID as access is restricted to adults. There you can buy delicious mojitos and they also sell snacks.
