    We had such an amazing time with Magy, she was so attentive and nice that it felt like we were spending an evening with a friend! This is an unique experience that will give you access to places you wouldn’t imagine going alone. Come with an empty stomach as you will surely see more food than you can eat!

    This is the best tour in Cairo! If you want a true experience of the city, away from the touristic stuff then get in touch with Magy! You will walk around neighbourhoods you wouldn’t normally visit, Magy will take you to local markets and explain a lot of things related to the society in Cairo! Magy is an excellent experienced guide and a really good company! Totally worthy experience!

    For my 65th birthday, my daughter gifted me a local 3-hour food tour of Cairo Egypt. As I'd not been on a food tour before, I was pleasantly surprised to experience local Cairo walking the streets with our Food Tour Guide "Magy". We began with exploring local markets specializing in the sale of fresh fruits, vegetables, legumes and nuts watered by the Nile River. (How happy I was when each provided us bags of food to eat later!) Next, Magy introduced my daughter and I to the families who ran Eateries specializing in Egyptian lunch and dinner. To my surprise, we were greeted by each with warm hugs and handshakes as we were seated for our meals. "Magy certainly is a beloved family friend in these communities." As we explored each of the many local Cairo eateries, we indulged in such delicious lunch and dinner items such as Hamam Mahshi, Koshari, (my favorite) Ful Wa Ta'ameya, (fava beans patties, pita bread, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, tahini sauce.), Tamiya, various Egyptian Pastas, Shawarma, Kofta and Kebabs, and my favorite meal, dessert. We devoured many desserts that included freshly made sweet Baklava, Basbousa Cake, Um Ali Bread Pudding with Egyptian Coffee and Hibiscus Tea. And yes, each restaurant gave us a take home bag of food as well. When the tour ended, I wished I had taken many more pictures and brought a bigger take home bag. The most important bag for me was the one filled with memories of this day that I will take with me for a lifetime. When you visit Cairo, I strongly recommend our new friend, Magy and her local Cairo Food Tour. You will leave with many fond memories of the Egyptian People lived through their food and culture.

    We had such a wonderful time on our walking food tour with Magy! Once you begin speaking with her it’s clear that she’s very knowledgeable and eager to create the best tour possible based on what you’re hoping to taste/see. I would definitely go on another tour with her, and couldn’t recommend her enough!

    Come with an expandable stomach! Learn & taste what Egyptians eat for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Magy is a warm, friendly & very easy going host. She’s clearly put a lot of thought into where to take her guests. The local restaurants, cafes & bakeries are all appreciative of Magy’s effort to highlight their delicious local food to international guests. We particularly loved the warm welcome with the vendors themselves & interactions with some curious locals. The food was a million times better than anything you’ll find in one of the tourist restaurants. Magy, well done for creating such a unique and delicious experience.
