At “Sogetsu WEST," the premier ikebana space located in western Japan and home to over 300 different types of flower containers, I will teach you how to create stunning ikebana arrangements in a variety of styles, without the need for any special tools or traditional Japanese containers. Discover the history, philosophy, and secrets of ikebana, as well as techniques for keeping flowers fresh. Then, with my guidance, you will create your very own ikebana masterpiece, and experience the Japanese aesthetic sense, the joy of the changing seasons, and the beauty of everyday Japanese life. After your creation is complete, we'll take a picture to commemorate your masterpiece. Then, we'll relax and chat. Want to learn more about Japanese food, culture, or traditions? Just ask!
