I can't begin to explain how amazing Kaffey was. She engaged us from start to finish and explained to us the history of the foods were experiencing and so much more. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. Our restaurant stops were also amazing - everything we ate was delicious and we enjoyed every bite. My favorite was the tacos. Another great thing is how relaxing the tour is. As we went from restaurant to restaurant, Kaffey didn't hurry us, she allowed us to take our time and talked with us as we enjoyed our tastings. Wonderful experience and wonderful guide. 100% recommend.

First let me say that Kaffey was a great guide. She was informative, friendly and on point. She had great knowledge of the food and area. Turkey and the Wolf and Steins are definitely the highlights of the tour. The fried bologna from T&W was amazing and the pastrami from Steins was some of the best I’ve had in a while. Juan’s and Piety were good but not spectacular. The Korean place was not good. I don’t know if it was a bad day or what but we did not enjoy it. (Note: we have had Korean many times before and enjoy it). Overall we would recommend the tour.

Kaffey was a great host! We enjoyed her knowledge of the area, her choice of local food joints, and the owners who were also very welcoming! Great experience! This was not the overhyped foods like gumbo, but a wonderful local flare with tacos, sandwiches and more! She even gave us a list of other favorite spots. Thanks for the joy of food in New Orleans!

My wife and I really enjoyed the Lower Garden District Food Tour hosted by Kaffey. We found her to be informative about the different neighborhoods we visited and very efficient in insuring we had plenty of sample foods from the local restaurants. The array of different foods were delicious but it was Kaffey’s warm, friendly and engaging style that made our entire group feel comfortable making for a unique and pleasurable experience.

We had a great time on this tour and were really happy with everywhere we got to try food from! Kaffey was a great tour guide who was not only personable, but knowledgeable about local history and more. You can tell she really loves what she does! :) All of the tastings were great. I was really impressed and happy with the food I got to try as someone with dietary restrictions (lactose intolerant and pescatarian)! The other two in my party were also happy with their tastings and had a great time. They are from the Baton Rouge area and are very excited they have some new places to come back to eat at, as they frequent NOLA! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to try some awesome local food outside of the French Quarter!
