    Bruce was great. He will help you get some great pictures. Very professional. Had entire itinery planned out. Spent over 7 hours with us and arranged great weather for us.

    Bruce gave my wife & I a fantastic personalized tour of historic Lunenburg, as well as central Halifax & the areas surrounding our travels. He was waiting for us at the pick-up point ahead of time, which meant we had bonus extra touring time. He gave us a full pre-departure briefing using a detailed map which set the scene for our tour & gave us a good idea of what to expect. He had a store-house of information & kept the narration coming.He gave us regular stops for refreshment & restroom stops & impromptu stops including some shopping. He tailored our trip to our interests, mainly photography, history & general interests. He had an in-depth knowledge of many aspects, particularly in historic Lunenburg & points of view that may be unlikely covered by others. We had a very nice lunch in Lunenburg right where he dropped us off for this. Our selected 6 1/2hour tour effectively & efficiently used our time allowed by the cruise ship movements & he made sure we were comfortably returned in time. We have no hesitation in recommending Bruce for a tour of Lunenburg & the Halifax Nova Scotia area generally - do yourself a favour! He gives really outstanding value for money & is such a personable driver & guide. I took over 200 photos of this tour which is many more than average & look forward to processing them from RAW format.

    We loved this whole day which was thoughtfully planned. A good balance between drive & walkabouts to give you the best of these two towns. We also appreciated the information that Bruce shared throughout the tour, and his keen eye for helping us take the perfect pictures.

    Scenic ride to Lunenburg, stopping across from the town to get an overall view of the town and detailed views of the many buildings and homes that make up this UNESCO town. We enjoyed the lunch at one of the many restaurants. We took a different route going back to the highway to include a brief visit to Oak Island and the stories that goes with the television show set on the island.

    Bruce was a fantastic tour guide who is very knowledgable and took the time to find great photo opportunities for the three of us. This is our second tour with Bruce and he is always on time, has a neat and tidy vehicle, and delivers what is promised. I highly recommend booking him for future tours in Nova Scotia.

    Lunenburg

    Travel to Lunenburg via an inland higher speed road for 80 min. Vehicle tour in Lunenburg with several stops for approximately 1 hour. Lunch for 1 hour in Lunenburg (meal cost not included) Travel a coastal road to Mahone Bay then return to Halifax. Lunenburg : The current town was settled in 1753 with German, Swiss, and French immigrants. Lunenburg is famous for its waterfront, fishing industry, vessel building, and architecture. Hundreds of wooden sailing vessels were built in Lunenburg, including the Bluenose, built in 1921, a fishery schooner which became a racing champion and is depicted on the Canadian dime. Lunenburg's 'Old Town' is a good example of British settlement in North America. It's historic buildings and homes date back to the 1760's. In 1995 the United Nations declared Lunenburg's 'Old Town' area a UNESCO World Heritage site (there are 469 World Heritage sites of which 12 are in Canada). There are about four hundred 'Old Town' buildings.
