The best thing to say is the guide was very friendly and on time. He knew the island and culture well and was able to give us a great insight to Madeira. Unfortunately the evening was not good for sunsets, as we experienced a change in the weather late afternoon and the clouds came in. So, no sunset, but a fun ride through the 4x4 tracks in the mountains. We were “shaken and not stirred “ was how our guide put it. Standing in the back of a pretty old Range Rover Discovery, with out heads and shoulders poking out the roof, was a memorable experience. So, no sunset, but off for dinner in a typical Madeira restaurant came next. Sorry to say it was not a great meal and we wished we had skipped this. Maybe next time the sunset will come.

The whole trip was excellent from start to finish, we were the only two people on the tour which made it extra special. The guide was fantastic, explained so much about the island and everything we did on the tour. The views were stunning and the location for the sunset was everything we had hoped for. The dinner was massive and tasted great. Would highly recommend.

Yesterday we did this trip with driver Nuno. A very social guide who told us lot about the local environment and économie, the local dishes and drinks and also advice some nice local restaurants and bars. He took us to the highest cliff of Europe, through the eucaliptic woods and to the best sunset view on the island. After that we had a very cost time at different bars and in the restaurant. Time is not an issue. Just go along and enjoy the evening in Madeira-style. 'Schtavabo' or something like that 😉 once again Obrigado Nuno.
