It's worth a glimpse and enchantment. Initially it was called Vale do Bom Retiro. After a fire that destroyed the immense forest in the region, Leopoldo Rosenfeldt built the lake, decorating its banks with trees imported from the Black Forest of Germany, hence its name, Black Lake. Its waters are deep and dark green, reflecting the height of the pine trees that alternate with the color of azaleas in winter and the blue of hydrangeas in summer. Along its entire shore there is a flower-filled promenade, allowing you to walk. However, the biggest attraction is the pedal boats, which give the lake a happy and busy color.
A pioneering attraction in Canela, in Serra Gaúcha, the Aerial Cable Cars have been delighting tourists and the community for over 9 years. This tour is the opportunity to contemplate, from a unique and privileged frontal angle, the Caracol Cascade, one of the most beautiful postcards in Brazil. The park is divided into Central, Animal and Waterfall stations, where visitors can disembark at each one and enjoy the view and all its infrastructure, with an ecological trail that allows a direct connection with nature and right after a wooden sculptures that bring the shape, sound and texture of animals.
Paroquia Nossa Senhora de Lourdes
Built in 1953 by the architect Bernardo Sartori, the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora de Lourdes, known as Catedral de Pedra, is a Catholic church located in Praça da Matriz, in the Brazilian municipality of Canela, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. It is popularly known like Stone Cathedral, although it is not actually a cathedral. It is one of the main tourist attractions in the city and Serra Gaúcha. In August 2010, the temple was elected as one of the Seven Wonders of Brazil. In 2016, it won fifth place in the Travelers Choice award, carried out by the travel website TripAdvisor as one of the 10 best tourist attractions in Brazil.
Located in the lush Morro Calçado, the Jolimont Winery is at the top of the list of the most visited attractions in the last year. With a breathtaking view, Jolimont offers visitors an immersive experience in the world of wine. It's a tour to immerse yourself body and soul in the fascinating universe of the drink and its entire process of preparation from land to glass.
Portico via Nova Petropolis
Stopping point at the most charming portico in Gramado. We stopped for our customers to record the moment with photos.
Castelinho Caracol is one of the first residences in Canela. Built at the beginning of the century. XX by the couple Pedro Carlos Franzen and Luiza Sommer Franzen, all in Araucaria wood, a pine tree typical of the region. Its construction system was made using fittings and screws, without the use of nails. The residence was inhabited until 1980 by the eldest daughter Irene and in 1985 Castelinho Caracol was transformed into a Museum and Tea House. Traditional recipes come from the kitchen, Apfelstrudel and Waffel made on the original wood stove, and visitors can enjoy them in the two tea rooms inside the Museum. Castelinho Caracol, with its intact walls, shows the legacy of Pedro Franzen, where you can appreciate and experience it through a true trip to the past.
Canela
The Garfo e Bombacha steakhouse is unique! With a theme that refers to the true Gaucho style with traditional music and dances, showing details of our culture, for visitors to take home as the best souvenirs. In the self-service style, you can enjoy a varied buffet of hot dishes, salads and desserts, in addition to the traditional barbecue with cuts of noble meats and the famous ribs in the ditch.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
