What to expect
Maligne Canyon
You'll make a 30-minute stop at Maligne Canyon to explore the two bridges and soak up the fantastic views of the cascading waterfall. Enjoy the stunning natural formations and listen to your guide's insights into the geological features unique to this area.
Medicine Lake
As you continue through the sub-alpine forests, you'll pass by Medicine Lake. The area is known for its stunning scenery and is prime habitat for moose and bears. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife as your guide shares interesting ecological facts about the region.
Maligne Lake
At the world-famous Maligne Lake, you'll embark on a 3 to 4-km interpretive nature walk. Enjoy beautiful lakeshore vistas and follow the easy-grade trail loop back into the forested surroundings. Your guide will share fascinating ecological facts, and you may spot some resident wildlife. You will have a short break for lunch here; you can buy your lunch or bring your own.

Temporary Update (valid starting April 2025 until further notice): Due to wildfire damage, access to Maligne Canyon Waterfalls is temporarily closed. If repairs aren’t complete by your tour date, the itinerary will instead include at stop at Maligne Lookout and extended time for a lakeside walk at the stunning Medicine Lake. The Maligne Lake portion of the tour remains unchanged and there is no change to the tour length or price. The experience still provides a rich experience of the area’s exquisite natural beauty and history
