Although your creation won't be ready to take home immediately due to the firing process, you will be able to keep a finished tile with a similar design made by the artist. If you wish to have your own piece sent to you, we can arrange it for an additional cost. Please keep an eye on your messages after booking, as we will confirm all the details prior to the experience. The activity’s location may vary depending on the artist's availability, but it will always be within the municipality of Silves. Traditional 17th-Century Portuguese Tile Painting Workshop The workshop begins with a demonstration and explanation of the traditional techniques. Afterwards, with the artist’s guidance, you will paint your own tiles. We suggest starting with a classic design to grasp the technique, followed by creating an original design of your choice. Please note that the artwork created by participants will not be ready at the end of the experience, as the tiles need to be fired in a high-temperature kiln. The pieces will be ready up to three days after the workshop, and collection will be arranged. Shipping of the tiles is not included. An additional fee applies to cover logistical and packaging costs for shipping: Portugal and Europe: €5.00 America: €10.00
