"Darsena" is an Arabic word that originally meant "port", in Italian the word has evolved over time and is now used to indicate a sheltered anchorage area, sometimes covered. In Milan, however, this word retains its ancient meaning and the Darsena is the port of Milan.

Vicolo dei Lavandai
Vicolo dei Lavandai (Washermen's Alley) in milanese dialect it was called Vicol di bugandee (from bugada, means laundry). Along the stream fed by the Naviglio Grande (el fossett) until the 1950s, the clothes of wealthy Milanese families were washed. You can visit this site before or after cruise.
