Would never book with them again. Arrived an hour and a half early, waited until our flight time and were told it was too foggy to fly. It was an absolutely clear day and several other helicopters and float planes went flying by. Spent $50 on a cab ride to get there, had they told us right away they didn’t want to take us, we could’ve gone a different route. Disappointed is an understatement. This was to be the highlight of our cruise and instead it wrecked it. Dont trust these people.

The company cancelled and other companies with same tour were running!!! So disappointed and not even apologetic about cancellation…. I have always had great success using Viator but not this time. Ruined our day as the call came 10 minutes before the tour left so couldn’t do anything else……

Joe was an awesome/knowledgeable pilot. The views are incredible and joe spotted 3 bears and mountain goats. The operators were super convenient and very easy to work with. The tour is worth ever penny

Robert_B

The pilot made it the best experience, sharing his personal stories of growing up in the area. Highly recommend this tour.

The staff and pilot at Taquan did an amazing job!! Had a seamless pickup and drive to the flight location. The weather in Ketchikan was foggy & rainy and we feared the flight would be cancelled. The pilot was able to find an alternative flight route so that we could still see the beauty of the Misty Fjord. Highly recommend!! Thank you!

The most amazing way to see Alaska! Great service right down to their driver who comes to get you. Everything and one was exceptional. Thank you Misty Fjords for a great experience!

I very much enjoyed our flight. I am a pilot and it was particularly interesting to learn some about flying a float plane in Alaska. Our pilot had over 10,000 hours on floats and seemed extremely competent.

Beautiful tour of this scenic area. Highly recommend. Took this during our cruise to Alaska. Super friendly and helpful staff.

There is an amazing world up and above the mountains that we would have never seen. We love Gods green earth. Thanks for taking us up there to see it. We still would have loved to have landed on a mountain lake. We were expecting to do that and it didn’t happen.

On 7/25/2023 we took the Misty Fjords flight seeing tour. There were a total of 8 passengers on a well maintained DHC-3. The best I can say is that Taquan Air completely mailed it in. For the price it should have been significantly better. Buyer beware and spend your valuable money on other activities. The total cost for all 8 was close to $3,000 for which we got a seaplane flight that fell well short of how it was hyped by the cruise line or on Taiwan Air’s site. We expected that there would be narration by the pilot pointing out landmarks and notable features. The pilot didn’t utter a single word after boarding. Instead there was a cheesy pre-recorded narration that was spotty and difficult to understand. Passengers shouldn’t ask, “ are we at the Misty Fjords”. The pilot, although clearly proficient, was going through the motions and was clearly disinterested in anything except for talking to his fellow pilots in the radio. This was the only regrettable experience of the 2-week Alaskan experience. Don’t do it!!!
