We had a great private tour with our local guide! We visited the equator and several points of interest in Quito. Our guide took us on a private chocolate tasting experience and then to his favorite local coffee roaster where we purchased coffee beans roasted the same morning.

We had a great experience with our private guide Daniel. We had the option of going to a couple different spots for the Mitad del Mundo. Daniel said they were both great, just depends on whether you want the historical line and monument or the newer more accurate. We went for the historical line, which had great photo opportunities (with Daniel's guidance and picture-taking), plus an informative history of Ecuador narrated by Daniel as we went down the tower. The teleferico was great, too. Remember to pack a sweatshirt as it is in the low 40s year-round at the top. Daniel was flexible throughout and provided good guidance and friendly conversation.
