Hell's Revenge
This is not a comparable tour to any of the Jeep or Hummer Tours. This trip is about going to do all of the things that they aren't doing. We go further, and cover more ground in the same amount of time. This trip includes all obstacles on the trail that you won'e even see with someone else. These obstacles are "Mickeys Hot Tub" "Car Wash Hot Tub" "Hells Gate" and "Escalator".
All ages are welcome - proper safety equipment and professional drivers are provided.

Best 4x4 tour in Moab! We got upgraded to the 3 hr tour and so glad we did! We were in a large open air 4x4 that seated 7 that could go places others couldnt. Other tours took videos of us going up and down hell's canyon and escalator. Our guide Garrit was awesome and even helped rescue several stuck vehicles. Better than driving yourself, Garrit took us over all the obstacles. We waved as we zoomed by the other groups.
Vehicle is open air so dress for the weather. No room for backpacks. We stopped for photos several places and i was glad i wore my hiking boots. Not required but made it easier to climb up the rocks. Water and chips provided but no restrooms except for the facilitrees.

This ride was a blast. We saw lots of other tours on the trail, but there was no doubt that ours was the best. Gerrit is a superb driver and guide.

If you do one thing in Moab this is it! Gerrit Ralston was our tour guide. We rode the hummer h1 tour first and it went real slow but did give us a view and ride down hells revenge, but two days later we rode on the rock crawler tour for 3 hours on hells revenge. Gerrit was cool, hammered down and gave it the beans almost the whole time, went up all the obstacles on hells revenge with ease. I was surprised how the big ass suburban framed rock crawler did up and down the trail. If you can’t bring your own rig to Moab you can book this and get almost the same experience. My review A plus, you can tell he’s been doing this for years, and is a local rock crawler and loves his job. Book it!!! If you love 4x4 riding and off roading and want to do it in a four wheel drive buggy, let Gerrit take you for the ride of your life, and cross it off the bucket list. Only thing I regret is not booking the 5 hour extreme tour and go down find and things also. You will get your moneys worth, and he will make all the jeeps he passes by look like they’re standing still. Gerrit keep being awesome!!!

We’ve never been 4 wheel driving before. We went with our two kids (8, 12) and all had a great time. We recommend sitting in the back seats.

If you are looking for an exciting experience in Hell’s Canyon, this tour is for you.
We (70+ yr old couple) weren’t sure whether to book the self-driving tour or the guide-driven tour. We were thrilled that we chose the guide-driven version. It was an exhilarating experience! Our guide, Gerrit Ralston, gave us our money’s worth and more! Gerrit masterfully wheeled the more than capable custom-built OHV in places in Hell’s Canyon that looked impossible, including many near vertical rock climbs and drops, both down and back up Hell’s Gate and the Escalator chute, to the top of the world, in and out of the Car Wash bowl and Mickey’s Hot Tub, across thin ridges, performing high-speed slides in the sand, etc. Gerrit had a great personality and kept us entertained, educated and on the edge of our seats. Everyone was safely strapped in with 5-point harnesses and Gerrit had completed control over the vehicle.
This is not the tour for someone looking for an easy, slow rock-climbing tour like some of the other operators provide. This is the exact opposite — wild, fast paced, exciting, challenging, perhaps even a bit scary at times. There were times when the vehicle was almost totally vertical when all we could see was sky or sand/rock or times we were leaning on one side or the other where you felt like it was going to roll over any moment. Not to worry, the vehicle was built just for such and we all felt safe with Gerrit behind the wheel.
If you are afraid of heights (like my wife is), you will quickly get over it. I was concerned that I would be in big trouble with her after the ride was over but she told me several times that she really enjoyed it and wants our family to come experience it, too.
There were many places that Gerrit took us and things that he did to make the ride even more exciting that you would not be able to experience in a self-driving UTV. His truck is a rock-crawling beast!
Some guys in our vehicle with us had taken a different tour yesterday with a different operator and said there was no comparison to the Extreme 4x4 tour. They said had they taken this one first that they would have been extremely disappointed in the other tour.

Amazing! Our driver was bold, professional and adventurous. This was def an “extreme” experience so if you want some chill, it’s not for you. We had a blast and most teens will enjoy the experience.

The lady who helped with our reservation check out was fantastic, casual and helpful. It set us off on a great start. Their Jeep did really well on every trail we took and Moab has A LOT to choose from.
