    Despite the fact that we had been in Montevideo for a few days and had already seen quite a bit, Lara surprised us with beautiful stories and sights in the city. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch with Uruguayan delicacies and drank yerba matte. Highly recommended to do this bike ride with Lara, when visiting Montevideo.

    We had a fantastic tour of Ciudad Vieja (Old Town) and La Rambla, Montevideo with Lara. Lara was lovely and very well informed about the history of Uruguay and built in lots of mini breaks at historic landmarks. The ride along La Rambla finished with a lovely picnic that Lara supplied including delicious homemade cake. I thought the added extras such as bringing the local ‘tea’ called Mate in the traditional cups for us to try was a real treat and very thoughtful. As a slightly older, less practised cyclist I kept up as Lara set the pace well. Thanks Lara, we loved our tour.

    It was fantastic weather last Monday morning at 10:00. And a great time in terms of traffic for a bike tour through the old town of Montevideo. And in addition to seeing beautiful old buildings and getting a concise history of the city, Lara also has many contemporary tips and facts. And one of the parts was drinking Mate accompanied by matching petit fours and also here beautiful stories about the history and customs of Mate. There is also plenty of room to ask questions. In short, a must-do-and-see if you are in Montevideo. The more than 3 hour tour has flown by and I can recommend it to everyone.

    Very nice to get to know Montevideo better by bike! Our enthusiastic guide, and also founder of Touruguay, Lara had mapped out a fun route and told more about the history and culture of Uruguay in several places. During a break picnic in the park we got to taste Mate and (homemade) local delicacies, very nice and personal. I had thought it was a bit exciting to explore Montevideo by bike but it felt very safe and was very doable. I absolutely recommend it and would do it again next time!
