The best time to climb the mountain is before sunrise, so be careful as the lights are dim and the wind at the top is very cold. Make sure to bring a scarf, or be prepared for the chill. They sell hot drinks and blankets, and you'll be envious when you see them.

Our guide, Nyoman, was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the entire trek! The view from the top was stunning and made the hike worthwhile. The rice fields and swing were great, and the waterfall was decent too. Our driver, Kelan, and his friend Ayu were very helpful and accommodating.

Our mountain guide was hospitable and communicated well in English. We had the option to either hike all the way up or ride a dirt bike; we chose to hike. The view was fantastic!
