    Great to mtb-bike at Etna. Great guide that met expectations. Suitable for people that can bike 20+km and wish to experience vulcanic sand paths.

    Very nice experience, the tour guide was wonderful for us and we enjoyed the scenes and ride. The tours can be quite tough if you are inexperienced. There was enough time to rest and enjoy the scenery.

    Bike Sicily picked us up at the ship as planned. Beautiful ride up to mount Etna. We biked but my husband and I struggled a bit due to altitude, and probably our state of fitness. Luca, our guide, was supportive and understanding and let us have breaks as needed. He then drove us to the top to see the crater. A wonderful experience

    What to expect

    Cycling excursion in MTB (included) or *E-MTB (extra cost) on the Etna volcano. Start Point: Etna Sud (Piano Vetore). From Piano Vetore (Etna sud, about 1,750mt) we will head by MTB towards the Pista Altomontana (Etna sud), a trail characterized by lava scenarios and breathtaking landscapes. We will stop at the Galvarina refuge (about 1,850mt), after the stop, we will descend along a sandy dirt road towards Monte Fontanelle, where among woods and old lava flows the adventure in Mountain Bike will come to life. Finally, a fantastic and tiring climb awaits us along one of the most characteristic trails of our volcano. We will conclude the MTB Tour in Piano Vetore, the starting point of the Tour. Obviously at the discretion of the guide, it will be possible to make the necessary changes to the tour, all to make it suitable for your technical/physical abilities. Duration of the cycled route, including stops, 2 hours (approximately), 18 km (approximately), total difference in altitude 800m (approximately), maximum altitude 2,000m (approximately). We recommend bringing: Water (1 or 2 liters) and Snacks. + Included in the price: MTB 29er (muscle bike). - EXTRA E-Bike cost (quote and availability on request).
