Your Itinerary

Diamond Head State Monument

(Pass by)

This iconic Waikiki landmark was formed 300,000 years ago when the volcano erupted. As these materials settled, they cemented together into a rock called tuff, creating the crater. Your guide will explain the geologic and military history of the world famous Diamond Head Crater while you enjoy the view of surfers in the waves. Learn about some of the history of these beautiful homes surrounding this impressive landmark. (No strenuous summit hike.)

Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve

(Pass by)

This iconic bay is a highlight for many in Hawaii. Your guide will talk about the geologic formation of the bay, the coral reef and the environmental impact. Your group will have an opportunity to take pictures of the bay.

Halona Blowhole

At the Halona Blowhole (meaning peering place or place to lookout), water can shoot up to 30 feet into the air. The reason the water shoots into the air here is due to small caves along the coast with an opening at the top. During the winter we may view whales along the coast. On a clear day we can see Lanai, Maui and Kahoolawe.

Rabbit Island

Learn about the history of this little island (Mānana) off the windward coast and enjoy the breathtaking views.

Kualoa Ranch

Breathtakingly beautiful ranch on the windward side of Oahu. The ranch consists of three valleys: Kaʻaʻawa Valley, Kualoa Valley, and Hakipu’u Valley. Guests will have time to see the petting zoo, take pictures of the beautiful ranch and visit the gift shop. More than 50 movies and TV shows have been filmed at Kualoa over the years, since the 1966 Elvis Presley film Paradise, Hawaiian Style. Kualoa has also been a film location for Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, 50 First Dates, You, Me and Dupree, Hawaii Five-0, Mighty Joe Young, Pearl Harbor, Windtalkers, Godzilla, and Lost.

Dominick gave EXCELLENT historical information as he drove us from point to point. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and safe. He showed us many areas I'd not seen on other tours even though those tours were geographically proximal. The tour was a perfect overview of the North Shore and many points on the path to and from it. I loved it!

We got to see the whole island in a day. Stopped all local tourist sites. Our guide was great and taught us all the history of Hawaii and all its island. Well recommend the small tour experience. .

We really enjoyed the Circle Island Small group Tour led by Katie. She was very knowledgeable and shared many facts and stories during the drive around the Oahu. She took photos of us at all of the the stops, made great recommendations for lunch and snacks and kept us ahead of the bigger bus tours, which meant shorter line ups at the sites. She provided lots of great suggestions for places to visit on a return trip to the North Shore. We even caught a glimpse of a big sea turtle on Turtle Beach (although we did not stop there, but traffic slowed down through the area). It's a great way to see parts of Oahu that you might not otherwise see, for example, we were able to drive down to the parking area above Hanauma Bay without a reservation. We even got to re-enact a scene from Jurassic Park!

This was a wonderful tour! Dominik was crazy knowledgeable about Hawaiian history and gave us so much information throughout our journey. It was a wonderful mix of culture, history and beautiful stops along the way. I would recommend this tour to anyone that wanted to see the island and learn about the history of Hawaii.

There are lot of these types of tours in Oahu, and I'm glad this is the one we ended up picking. Our guide Dominic was so amazing - he had so much knowledge of not only the places we stopped at and were driving by, but the Hawaiian history he shared with us was all really interesting. There was only one other couple on the tour with us so it felt very exclusive and personal. We were given a reasonable amount of time at each stop, it never felt like too much or too little. He had recommendations at each place that we were left on our own to explore. We even met a local artist at the food truck stop on the north shore that he knew and we purchased some art from. Plenty of places to buy souvenirs, and we saw a wide variety of things and were never bored. Can't recommend this tour enough!

A great day trip to go around the island. A lot of stops along the way if you do not have a vichle or do not wish to drive. That meant time is restricted to tour schedule as I felt some stops could stay a bit longer.

Carol_L

Learning history of Hawaii from the tour guide was awesome, loved seeing the North Shore beaches and surfers, local food.

RosalindV_D

Our tour guide Dominik was excellent and engaged well with all his passengers. During our trip around the island we learned both about all noteworthy sights we were passing on the Island Circle Tour, and about the history of the Hawaiian islands from the presumed first settlers from the Marquesas to the present day.

Very solid overview experience of Oahu. The driver/guide was entertaining and well versed in history and lore. Could have used less time at photo-op stops and more time at Kualoa Ranch so we could walk a little more. Q&A was easy with small group.

The best you could do if staying only a few days to learn a little about the history and current attractions
