What to expect
Otavalo
In our amazing Otavalo program, we will pick you up in Quito City, then we will drive towards to Guayllabamba Valley, a charming town famous for its local fruits. We continue the journey through the Andes and We will visit Cayambe town known as "the biscuit town". In the road, we will stop by Mira lago viewpoint, where you will enjoy a facinating landscape full cover with crops, lakes and volcanoes. Next, we will arrive to Otavalo and visit the Handicraft market (one of the oldest Indigenous markets in Latinamerica), from this moment you will have enough time to explore and enjoy the area on your own pace. In the Afternoon, we will visit Cotacachi town also known as “ the Leather town”, This is also the perfect spot to enjoy lunch on your own at one of the local restaurants. Afterwards, the highlight of the day awaits: a scenic train ride from Ibarra to Andrade Marín Station, a journey that showcases beautiful Andean landscapes. To complete the experience, we will visit the historic Textile Factory Museum, where you will discover the fascinating story of Ecuador’s textile development. This is our last visit before we return to Quito.
