We had a fanatic trip with Oun. I couldn’t recommend him enough. We just all loved our visit to the temples, in large part because of him and his support. A few things to highlight:
First, it was so easy to book and communicate with him on instagram before our visit. He was super responsive and so helpful accommodating all our requests and questions.
Second, he was on time and set up the perfect trip hiring great drivers for our relatively large group of three families.
Third, and perhaps most importantly, he managed to make the walk around the temples fun and engaging for our kids (aged 6-15). It was a hot day but we were out at the temples for 5 hours with not a single complaint from anyone. The kids loved his stories and he was sweet and patient while guiding us through the area. He took us to many temples that we had entirely or almost to ourselves which made the experience even more special.
Finally, he took great pictures along the way which has left us with very nice memories of our magical day.
Thanks so much Oun for sharing a bit of Cambodian history and culture with us and for giving us an excellent introduction to the Angkor temples. We highly recommend you to go with Oun for your Angkor visit.

Absolutely amazing experience, we avoided the crowds in almost all the places we visited, made it a very enjoyable experience. Never had to wait to take pics, and he knows all the good hidden spot with perfect lighting. In additional to being a friendly knowledgeable guide, he is also a very talented photographer. All the photos turned out amazing! Highly recommended as it is truly on of a kind.

I have had the pleasure of using 'Travel Through the Real Cambodia' on a number of occasions when visiting Siem Reap. Each trip has been truly magical.
Li Ono is a knowledgeable tour guide who goes above and beyond to make your tour something special. He takes the time to get to know his guests and makes them feel very welcome and comfortable. His knowledge of the Khmer history, particularly the Angkor complex is superb and he weaves a narrative into all his tours.
He is a personable young man who clearly cares deeply about his country and his people, and shares this enthusiasm with his guests which allows for a deeper cultural connection in such a beautiful place.
On my last tour not only did he take us to the heavy hitter temples, including a beautiful sunrise at Angkor Wat but also some hidden gems like Ta Nie, Palilay and Angkor Thom.
I cannot recommend Li Ono and Travel Through the Real Cambodia enough. If you're looking for the real Khmer experience book here!

Oun was an amazing guide, who really took the time to show us all of the interesting parts of Angkor Wat and throughout the city. He is knowledgeable, friendly and personable. Highly recommended, and would do more tours in the future when we are back in the city.

Oun is the best. He is super fun, full of energy, and very personable -- and a great photographer. We particularly loved the afternoon part of the tour, which felt more like hanging out with a friend of a friend and showed us parts of local Siem Reap life we would not have otherwise seen. We enjoyed planning the trip with him, and he was very helpful in suggesting things to do.
For the morning, we asked Oun to help us see some of the temples in the park we might otherwise miss (we'd already seen Angkor Wat independently). He took us around to four different spots, and enthusiastically spent an extra hour with us in the morning beyond what we had planned. We saw much more than we would have anticipated. My partner was very curious about the Hindu history of the temples; Oun was able to answer questions in-depth.
After a much-needed rest during the hottest part of the day, Oun picked us back up and we went to the local market, then drove out in the direction of Tonle Sap through winding countryside roads along the river. We stopped for lotus and jicama snacks, and then took a side road out into the middle of a rice paddy, where we had a great time drinking cold beer out of the tuktuk cooler, watching the sun set, and chatting about life, Cambodia, and whatever else came up. A cool evening ride back into town, and we couldn't have been happier with the day.
A special part of the trip is Oun's a really great photographer. We're more snapshot people, ourselves, and didn't appreciate beforehand how great a perk this is. The next day, Oun sent us a folder full of beautiful photographs from the day. It was a really special souvenir, something we wouldn't have considered. We're grateful to have had this experience.
Finally, his driver is awesome as well!
