Steele is a super talented photographer. She has great vibe and can totally make absolutely anyone comfortable in front of a camera. She is professional and on time and the shoot came smooth. The pictures that came out were super great. I highly recommend this tour to anyone to have a wonderful memory of the Cook Islands! 5 stars!

Just a heads up before you book! I know wild animals are unpredictable and whale encounters can't be guaranteed. Even so, this experience was not worth the exorbitant cost. The boat was extremely basic: no proper seats, no shade or weather protection and no ladder to get back onboard. We sat on a chilly bin (esky for the aussies) and, due to no ladder, had to be dragged back into the boat by two crew members. Not exactly the premium experience advertised. The crew were friendly and did try hard and I appreciated that they stayed out for five hours instead of four. But the operation did not feel as professional as the marketing suggested. At times, it felt like the boat noise was chasing the whales away rather than creating a respectful encounter. I was also dubious about the "professional photographer" claim, as he was being coached on how to use the underwater housing for the iphone on the boat. Overall, lovely crew, but a very expensive day for very little in return. I would not recommend this experience unless you are comfortable paying premium prices for a very basic setup and a lot of unmet expectations.
