    The PCC was recommended by a friend, and it was time well spent. We used the shuttle for transportation to and from our hotel in Honolulu. We arrived about 11:45 and had time for lunch prior to the opening canoe ceremony (definitely a must see). We visited all six island cultures and enjoyed a performance at each. We also had time for a boat ride, a ukulele lesson, and a movie at the Pacific Theater. We had dinner at the Gateway Buffet. The food was average, but there were plenty of selections. There are so many food options in the Marketplace that it is not necessary to include a meal option in your ticket. Finally, we saw the Ha: Breath of Life show. Definitely a must see. The story follows Ha as he lives on all six islands. The drama ends with an outstanding fireknife performance.

    Absolutely the best Luau we have seen. The village tour was wonderful, and the separate village attractions made for an unforgettable day. Lau food was great, and the entertainment was spot on. We especially enjoyed the production at the end of our day. I would rank it tops against any show we have seen. Wonderful production.

    Amazingly entertaining and engaging value for the money! Loved seeing the displays, demonstrations and hands on activities representing the different Polynesian cultures - really emphasized where these diverse islands are similar and how they are different. Lots to see and do! The buffet dinner at Gateway was decent with lots of choices. The show “Ha, Breath of Life” was by far the best entertainment I have seen in Hawaii; very professional with excellent choreography, costumes and sets. The dancers were fantastic and the fire knife routine was jaw dropping. We did not have children with us, but I bet they would have a blast going through the villages with all there was to see and do. Definitely worth a visit!

    This was our 2nd visit to the PCC. We had been to Hawaii a number of times and had avoided the PCC. First, because I expected it to be “theme parky”. 2nd. I don’t really support my own religion and this was run by Mormons so I wasn’t going to jump to give money to someone else’s. Last year, after being convinced by our Hawaiian friends “it’s the real deal”, we broke down and went. We were blown away by how good it was and how stupid we were for avoiding it. It is beautifully landscaped with each Island village offering presentations and fun activities. There was so much to see, we vowed to repeat visit this year and take in their MainStage evening show and Gateway Buffet. Once again we had a GREAT time. Last year we were a little overwhelmed and didn’t participate in many of the hands on activities. This year we had so much fun dancing, playing the stick game, throwing spears and dancing along with watching the presentations The gateway buffet was EXCELLENT. I usually find buffets generally lacking flavors. Everything was flavorful and plenty of choices The MainStage show HA was very enjoyable. The Polynesian cultural center is a must. Do NOT. Make the same mistake we made for 5 trips and skip it

    It was so much fun and educational. The buffet was the best we have ever been to. So many choices and everything we had was so delicious! The night show was so amazing. We loved it all.

    Polynesian Cultural Center

    Islands of Polynesia villages admission is open from 12:15pm-5:30 pm. Each of the 6 island villages provides hands-on activities, demonstrations, and performances which bring these unique cultures to life. All-day admission to explore the authentic cultures of the islands staffed by friendly villagers ready to share information. Take a leisurely canoe tour across our magnificent lagoon. The Gateway Buffet is our most popular dinner package and is offered as an alternative to our lūʻau. It includes live music in a relaxed atmosphere with an expansive buffet of island inspired dishes in our dining hall that features a 360° mural. Doors open at 4:30pm - 7pm at our Gateway Restaurant. From 7:30pm-8:45pm, the stunning “HĀ: Breath of Life” evening show features over 100 Pacific Islander performers, special effects, animation, fire knives and surround sound. It is a saga of birth and death, love and family, tragedy and triumph. Silver level seating provided.
