Mengiat beach is a perfect beach to come to with children as it has beautiful white sand and the beach is protected by an offshore reef, which prevents waves from breaking on the beach.
You will see a clean long stretch of white sand beach with beautiful formation of limestone cliff. During low tides, you can walk out to see and touch the soft corals with many starfish living among them. The water is crystal clear, and lush green seaweeds are at their natural state. There are several beach clubs nearby with pool and good selections of food and drinks. The sunset view from this beach is beautiful.
Uluwatu temple is renowned for its magnificent location,perched on top of a steep cliff approximately 70 metres above the waves. Uluwatu temple definitely one of the top places in Bali for you for witnessing a delightful sunset view overlooking to beautiful Indian ocean's wave and kecak performance perform at Amphitheatre nearby . Tegenungan Waterfall
Tegenungan waterfall is a great attraction for all ages specially nature lover. To access the waterfall , there are several minutes walk down the trail beyond the shop where you’ll enjoy the impressively green valley panorama with the cascading water as a centerpiece. Feel free to take a dip at the waterfall if you like or take a beautiful pictures at some cute photo spots provided along the trail .
You can try the most bizarre coffee in the world called " Luwak coffee' and also some of the authentic Balinese blends of herbals teas and coffees.
Lot of travelers have a misleading expectation from the name of the attraction which often creating an impression that the site is a gigantic dwelling full of elephants. As you step in into the site you will see the site contains a meditational cave, bathing pools and fountains. The relief around the area feature Hinduism and Buddhism influence dating back to 8th centuries and was built on a hillside and as 2 small streams met here forming a campuhan (river junction), which led to the site being considered sacred and the reason it was built for hermetic meditation and prayers. The main attraction is a 7 meters deep cave with an entrance shows a menacing giant face with its wide open mouth as the door.
Tirta Empul Temple
You will see a very active tranquil temple built around a bubbling spring water. Tirta Empul temple is an interesting place to observe Hindu devotees purifying themselves by means of ritual bathing. The spring feeds various purification baths, pools and fish ponds surrounding the outer perimeter, which all flow to the Pakerisan River. You can try out the purification bathing ritual yourself but the formal routine is actually meant for pilgrims and devotees. You can ask your driver/guide or temple authority for further details on how to do purification bath properly
Tegalalang Rice Terrace
With a dramatic rice terraces view within easy reach, you can try Tegalalang rice terrace for a fantastic Bali photo opportunity. The vista sprawls down and away to the rice terraces on the slopes across the valley. It’s a very popular view, but this ancient valley has a timeless quality whether there are tourists there or not. Local elders who own and cultivate the land often invite visitors to sample their green coconut drinks, as well as to purchase woven hats that they make from coconut leaves. Some will even pose with you for photos (usually for a small fee).
Sacred Monkey Forest Ubud is a home for more than 1000 long tailed macaques and well known for its conservation efforts. Research and studies are regularly carried out for observing the monkeys’ health, diet and breeding habits. You can see these playful primates in their natural habitat, swinging through canopies, and feeding on banana. Around the forest you also can see several ancient temples such as 14th centuries Pura Dalem Padang Tegal, Temple of Prajapati and Holy spring temple. Relic and statues around these temples have little sunlight, resulting in a mysterious and ancient vibe.
