What to expect

We've put together an amazing hiking adventure starting right from Sarajevo. Trebević mountain isn't just any old mountain—it's like a second home to Sarajevans. On foggy winter days, locals flock here to escape the hustle and bustle and breathe in the crisp forest air. Our journey kicks off at Meet Bosnia tours, where we'll hop on a cable car (tickets sold separately) that whisks us up to near the bob sleigh track. This track was a star of the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics, so you'll get a glimpse of sporting history as we pass by. From there, we'll trek along mountain paths, winding our way up to the summit. The hike covers around 14 kilometers in total, with an elevation gain of about 600 meters. But don't worry, we'll take it nice and easy, making sure everyone can enjoy the stunning scenery and mountain huts along the way. We highly recommend wearing sturdy boots for this adventure, as the terrain can be rugged at times. But if you need them, we've got hiking poles to lend you for extra support. This hike isn't just about the physical challenge—it's about immersing yourself in the beauty of nature and experiencing a slice of Sarajevo life.
