Guests are received at their desired staring point and shuttled in air conditioned comfort with historical information about the scenic drive to and from The Pottery Garden (coastal and ridge road). On arrival Potter/Instructor ​Karl Burnett gives an introduction of the grounds and himself as a ceramic artist. In the workshop, Karl explains the basics of pottery "hand building" techniques and then demonstrates making different shaped pieces on the potter's wheel. Now, it is your chance to get your hands in the clay! Have a try at the potter's wheel or hand build your own creation! After all the clay play fun, Karl shows you about his outdoor wood fired kiln and tropical garden.
