Amazing white water rafting trip hosted by Paolo and Claudia today! The scenery was fantastic and the rapids were really fun. There was a nice mix of shooting down the rapids, cooling off swimming in the river, and jumping off the rocks. Paolo and Claudia made it all really friendly and fun.
The trip finished with a picnic on the river bank (included in the price) which was a lovely surprise. Also included were all the photos and GoPro footage.
Really great value for money and myself and my family would highly recommend Melgaco White Water.

Photos, history, an after snack and a toast to celebrate... and friendship. I can write you a book. Rafting was great, but it could have just been rafting. Take rafting out, and give me just the experience with Anselmo and Claudia, the entire package Melgaço put together, the great company from Anselmo and Claudia, the friendship and interest in you, the stories and sharing, the flat out good fun together and doing more than just sitting in a rubber boat.
We were very fortunate that the day we went we were the only group with Melgaço, and only one other company with a single group from Spain that we passed by as they started out. We saw some of their activities (or lack thereof) and really knew that Melgaço makes it a whole experience. (I'd pay double)
If you want to: Getting in the water and learning to drift, jumping from the rocks (there's no looking back!), learning how to get into a raft from the water (it isn't simple even for an athlete!), and several other little things that just make it more. There's plenty of low key time for those who are a little concerned. My 14yo daughter and 17yo son loved it and embraced both the adventure and the relax!
Beautiful and unique location. If you're looking for 3/4/5 class, well, you should know better. But there's MORE than enough for a good time together, first timers or experienced just looking for something fun to do together and see some beautiful scenery along a border river with some cool history.

This activity is very good for a new experience, with a break to jump from different heights to the river. To be honest we were actually expecting some bigger rapids, but still we had tons of fun.

Simply Amazing!!! Monitors who involve us in the experience at all times, it is impossible not to feel the passion they have to share. Everything from the wonderful surroundings of Gerês, the wonderful Minho River, the breathtaking trails, the smells, till the silence of the wilderness that surrounds us!
