My husband and I spent 3 days and 2 nights with Ali. I am French Canadian, and my husband is American. Ali speaks both French and English.
Our trip to the Sahara Desert was a much better experience than I had ever imagined! We visited sites, people, saw how others live, etc. We felt safe and welcome in every place we visited. But the best part is that Ali always made sure we felt great, happy, and we went above and beyond to show us places we wanted to see, even if it was out of the way. This was a very enriching experience. I couldn't recommend Ali more. He was fantastic!

I went to Tunisia with my girlfriend and we had the best time with Ali. He organized for us a 3 days excursion through the mountains, the desert and all the important sightseeings. Everything went perfect and Ali is the best guide to take you on this adventure. He arranged all the small details like the accommodation and the tours, and explained everything during these days.
We would be happy to welcome him in Portugal.

There was no tour guide only a driver . We were dropped off at places and left on our own. Waste of money! Don't do it unless guide with you

What to expect
Itinerary:
Day 1. Resort Hotel/Kairouan/Gabes/Medenine/Tataouine
Early morning departure from your resort hotel and travel to the Holy City of Kairouan which was
declared a UNESCO World Cultural site in 1988.Visit the Great Mosque, the Mosque of the Three
Doors in the Medina and the souks. Travel south to the maritime oasis town of Gabes take lunch and
visit the Spice Market. Continue journey via Medenine (the area is dotted with ksars, the local name
for the Berber fortresses, and ghorfas, which once housed the grains of the Berbers) to Tataouine.
Dinner and overnight in Tataouine.
Day 2. Tataouine/Ksar Oued Soltane/Chenini/Ksar Ghilane
After breakfast visit the town of Tataouine where its market day. Then travel to Ksar Oued Soltane.
Located on a hilltop, it is one of the biggest ksars in the region, and a popular tourist destination
because of its well-preserved granary vaults. Some of the slave-quarters scenes in the Star Wars film
“The Phantom Menace” were also shot here. Continue your journey through Berber country to the
mountain village of Chenini. The oldest structures on the hillside date back to the 12th century; some
of the buildings are still used to store grain for the villagers living in the valley below. Take lunch in
Chenini and after travel to another mountain village at Douiret, then its deeper into the desert to Ksar
Ghilane for our night under the stars. Dinner and overnight at your choice (made at time of booking) of
traditional or luxury tented encampment.
Day 3. Ksar Ghilane/Matmata/Mahares/Sfax/El Djem/Resort Hotel
After breakfast travel to Matmata where you can visit a Troglodyte cave dwelling and the Hotel Sidi
Driss (which featured as Luke Skywalkers home in the film Star Wars). Travel north to Mahares for
lunch. Continue your journey north via Sfax (Tunisia’s second largest city) to the Roman Coliseum at
El Djem. Make a visit of the Roman Amphitheatre and afterwards travel back to your resort hotel.
