What to expect
Tour Description – Cave of the Seven Sleepers Located in al-Rajib, just east of Amman, the Cave of the Seven Sleepers is an important religious and historical site. According to both Byzantine and Islamic traditions, the cave sheltered seven young men who sought refuge from the persecution of the Roman Emperor Decius. On this private tour, you will visit the cave, explore its surroundings, and uncover the fascinating story behind it. The experience lasts about 4 hours in total, including transportation.
King Abdullah I Mosque – Architectural and Spiritual Landmark The striking blue-domed King Abdullah I Mosque, built in the 1980s by the late King Hussein in honor of his grandfather, is one of Amman’s most iconic landmarks and one of the few mosques in Jordan open to non-Muslim visitors. Its octagonal prayer hall spans 1,615 m² and can host up to 3,000 worshippers, all without the support of interior pillars. The 35-meter-wide dome, rising 31 meters above the ground, is adorned with a golden star at its center and encircled by the Ninety-Nine Most Beautiful Names of Allah. Beneath it hangs a breathtaking chandelier of 168 lanterns, each inscribed with Quranic verses and the name of Allah. Inside, a red ornamental carpet symbolizes fertile land and guides worshippers toward the Kiblah. The pulpit, Mihrab, and walls are enriched with intricate marble and wooden paneling, showcasing masterful Islamic craftsmanship. Duration: approx 4 hours, including transportation for the both sites.
