This tour was amazing!! Ren (Rin?) and Chance were awesome. They made the trip really fun and we’re both knowledgeable about many different things. I felt like I learned a lot about the island and a lot about Hawaiian culture in general. Ren made multiple stops at different beaches and explained the cultural significance of each one. She would also stop for different sea life, explain what they were, and give background information. She stopped for two different types of Dolphins and sea turtles! She was very nice and offered to get us drinks from the boat after she already at the designated eating area on land. Ren was clear and respectful when giving instructions on how things worked. On the way back the waters were a little rough but offered us gloves many different times and stop a few times to let us rest. Her navigation of the rough waters was very impressive. Made it where it wasn’t as rough as it could have been. Chance was a really funny guy. Always made everyone feel included and joked around like we were all buddies. Made me feel like we’ve known each other for a long time. He helped with the boat and knew exactly what to do when Ren would give an instruction. On his nature walk he showed us many different sites and would explain the importance of them. We saw tombs, historic houses, historic coconut husking station, and much more. Every time he stopped and explained what these things were and why these held a cultural experience. We learned many different words in Hawaiian from him. I tried my best but couldn’t figure out how to say “owl” in Hawaiian. Sorry, Chance! He even let me try some native fruit called Noni. Despite it tasting not the best, apparently it’s really good for you. Chance had a good chuckle at my face when I took a bite. Once we got back from the nature walk we had breakfast! It was an assortment of foods. A pizza, some granola/yogurt, and some cinnamon rolls! Once we got done eating we went and snorkeled! The water was so clear and we saw many different kinds of sea life. We snorkeled for about 45 minutes. Chance even got in the water with us and snorkeled! He showed me around a bit and pointed me to some cool fish/areas underwater. The water was a little rough on the way back, but this was explained to us before hand and we made accommodations for people who didn’t want to feel the roughness as much. Ren sat them at the back of the boat where a buddy of mine fell asleep. The front of the boat was very exciting with getting splashed and getting the brunt of the waves. I had a lot of fun at the front, but I enjoy things like that. Overall, I had a great time and will definitely be back. Hopefully I get Ren and Chance again as my crew! The tour itself was amazing, but I think Ren and Chance really made the trip. Highly recommend this tour!!

I've browsed trip advisor frequently, but never written a review. However, I saw a review posted by another person that was on the same 6am September 1 trip that I was on that I fundamentally disagree with and am therefore posting a review to hopefully offset that one. The tour was hosted by Chance and Ren (sp?). Twice before the tour started, and on the waiver we had to sign when booking the tour, we were warned the trip could be physically demanding and we were asked if we had any pain. At the beginning of the tour, we went up the coast and Ren stopped frequently to allow us to watch dolphins and to tell information about the coast. We went into several caves, and I felt Ren did an excellent job navigating the waves to reduce the bumpy ride. Chance was largely silent, as the other reviewer said, but this part of the tour was being well led by Ren, so I did not notice. The tour of the beach landing I found quite enjoyable. Chance had a dry sense of humor and presentation that perhaps the other reviewer did not understand, but I found to be highly entertaining. I felt I learned a lot as well, though perhaps the other reviewer obtained less from the tour as there was more than one moment where the other reviewer was climbing on rocks that we had been explicitly told not to climb on instead of listening to Chance. I am not certain what water the other reviewer was swimming in, but I was astonished at how clear it was and how far I was able to see. I have attached a photograph I took while underwater. It's a little distorted due to my waterproof phone case, but I believe it shows clear water and large numbers of fish. Chance also snorkeled with us, and I felt the length of snorkeling was fine. They didn't pull us out of the water until we were already swimming back to the boat. The ride back was, admittedly, rough. We were warned about that, though, and we stopped three times during the trip back to check on everyone. Again, I thought Ren handled the raft well and did what she could to reduce the roughness. We had been warned on the tour website that weather conditions could prevent us from going to the coast at all, and I am very pleased that Chance and Ren decided to take us out even though the ride back might have been a tad rough. I was a little sore the next day, but I'm not particularly physically fit. On the whole, I think the tour fit the description very closely. The website had not mentioned swimming in the caves and described snorkeling time as 30-45 minutes, which I believe is roughly correct. The snorkeling was also the best I've experienced in Kauai. I found Ren and Chance to be very friendly and enjoyable hosts and I had a great time on the tour. It was the highlight of my trip and I would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I had the best time on the morning Raft tour with Capt. Noah and first mate Josh. One of our best experiences on this trip, a must do in Kauai!! We'd do the tour again in a heartbeat. Pods of Spinner dolphins swam right up to the boat, we spotted sea turtles, mountain goats, waterfalls and were able to access all sea caves. Even enjoyed some great tunes in the turnabout cave, special moment for us. The land tour was a great bonus. Super informative, Josh explained the importance and honor held for all the parts of the native land. Amazing and beautiful culture explained. Breakfast/lunch was delicious and snorkel was clear, fun and safe. Nothing to complain about, everything was delightful! Thanks for the memorable experience!

This raft adventure is not for the faint of heart, but that's exactly what we wanted! It was the most amazing experience! We started the day with a double rainbow, saw pods of dolphins, snorkeled with turtles, and explored caves and ancient Hawaiian villages! Our 7yo said it was the best time of his entire life! He has admittedly less experience than we do, but it was the best excursion we've ever done too. Ren and KK were excellent guides! They made us feel right at home! And Ren is an incredible raft driver, approaching the waves, wakes, and winds with skill and precision. The views of the NaPali coast were breathtakingly beautiful! Thank you! This tour made our time in Kauai memorable and exciting!

This trip was incredible! Our captain, Ian, and Jake were skilled and informative, kind, patient, and really entertaining. We’ve done this tour before, but it was truly because of Ian and Jake’s expertise and personalities that made our trip so much fun. Highly, highly recommend!

The raft tour of the Na'Pali coast with Captain Skye and Dawn was AMAZING. The views are stunning, you have to do this while in Kauai! Captain Skye was great at navigating the waves and we got to see inside caves and the entire coast. We saw dolphins and turtles up close and saw schools of fish while snorkeling. Dawn and Captain Skye are the best!! Can't say enough how awesome this trip was!

blakeedwards32

This was probably my favorite trip in all of Kauai! Captain Skye was a terrific captain and knows how to maneuver through the waves to make it as safe and fun as possible. Skye and Don were very nice and I would 10/10 recommend anyone to thinking about going!
