We actually spent two days with Gregory during our time on Reunion, the first half day tour was so good we booked a second full day tour with him as well.
He is a very courteous, well informed local guy with amazing English - we don't speak French so it was critical we had a bi lingual guide.
No question was too difficult for him to answer - and we had plenty - and at no time did we feel rushed or pressured to move on if we were particularly interested in an area.
Driving is challenging on Reunion Island and some of the mountain roads are not for the faint hearted.
Gregory has a really comfortable vehicle and super driving skills. We never felt unsafe - despite the numerous twists and turns on the roads to the cirques.
We were just glad he was driving!
Reunion is definitely worth a good look - there is lots to see and there are beautiful landscapes unlike any we have seen anywhere else on our travels.
The island is clean with modern infrastructure and the people are very friendly so don't hesitate to visit - and be sure to book Gregory to show you around.
You will not find better.

Gregory Gutstein was our tour guide and he was EXCELLENT! We had such a wonderful day. We were not rushed and he flexed the tour and did whatever we wanted while showing us the best parts of the island. Would recommend 100%

We had two tours with Gregory, ane full day around the Island and then another day to the Volcano.
Both were amazing, he has so much knowledge of the Island and where to go, so we saw all the best sites, while he looks to accommodate what you want to see.
Fully recommend for anyone wanting to explore Réunion.

We were denied entry to Reunion on 2/24 and had to cancel our Reunion excursion.
Our tour operator Reunion Discovery Tours by Geotraveler rout guide Gregory is so understanding that he gave us a full refund.
We then found out we were stuck/quarantined in the Norwegian Dawn Cruise ship the next day till the Mauritius government could clear us to debark.

Gregory - You were an absolutely fantastic guide. I have been in the Tourism industry for over 30 years (since a child) and I have never met such a brilliant cultural guide in all my life and all my travels.
He truly was knowledgeable, respectful in everyway. an excellent driver and excellent in English .
While in Reunion, I heard news, I was losing my precious granny, whom I was very,very close too, she then did pass away the day we returned to the airport for Cape Town and Greg, Thank you you were absolutely perfect to have around at that time, you were professional, empathetic, respectful, absolutely faultless. Keep up the Brilliant work and wish you greatest success for you and your family.
I will always feel a connection to Reunion because my gran was French!
From Start to Finish all I can say is WOW! REUNION WOW! You are MORE than just "Hiking" you are an undiscovered "gem: with so so much! You are colourful in everything, from languages to spices, mixtures of huge diversity old and new!
There is one problem though : There is never enough time in Reunion.
You will see more of me! A true ambassador for Reunion.
