    This was a bucket list excursion for my husband and I; both older adults and beginning rafters. It was perfect! A blend of river float and level 3 rapid negotiation was easy to learn through our guide’s instruction. We did the morning session and in August it was great weather from start to finish. The facilities are very rustic (port-a-potty and a lean-to changing shed), so come with a “great outdoors” expectation.

    We all had an amazing time. Garrett was our white water rafting guide. He was very knowledgeable in the history of the Rio Grande as well as being an experience water guide. We all felt very safe in the boat with him. Definitely recommend this two hour trip. We had a six year old with us and she laughed all the way.

    My wife and I did the racecourse raft adventure along with our two children (ages 14 and 11). It was a great experience and the perfect amount of adventure and excitement for the 4 of us. It perfectly balanced thrill and adventure with safety. Heather was an amazing guide, and we thoroughly enjoyed knowledge of the river and the Taos area. Would strongly recommend this while in the Taos area.

    Fantastic journey! This was my first time in white water and the staff was friendly, instructive, and extremely safety oriented. I was able to book a ticket for one (some of the other outfits would not let me reserve for just one rider). Gear was top notch, and the staff was amazing. I’ll be back for longer adventure the next time I’m in town! Highly recommend!

    Fantastic course for our family of 5, including experienced swimmers on down to barely-swimmer. Garrett was our guide and was amazing! Funny while having rules, got the kids out of sibling rivalry and as teammates on the adventure right away. We had fun, had a welcome challenge or 2 (not scary just better than a float), and—importantly—grew our respect for, knowledge of, and love of the water and paddling. Also, early communication and booking was very quick and easy. Definitely do this if you can!
