    A new Chef completely different scene .Presentation of food par Excellent. We had a selection of starters wow factor for taste sensations. I had Flavours of Chocolate Chocolate sphere filled with crémeux, marshmallow, salted tahini caramel & was something to write home about more than WOW . The Executive Chef Michael Demagistris and Ryan James have given a Menu that you wouldn't expect from a Ferry Termina..

    A definite bucket list trip, amazing scenery and the quokkas are so cute. A few older tourists suggested earlier leaving times are needed as it’s a long day

    The cruise with commentary was very good and so was the bus tour commentary. Cherie did a great job in difficult circumstances as the weather was not too kind. The ferry ride was a bit rough due to the weather, crossing from Fremantle but was pleasant enough on the Swan. This is a well organized tour that was very enjoyable however it would have been improved if an optional extra of adding the tram ride and tour of the milirary base was included or suffificient time was allowed to do this comfortably.

    Visited Rottnest while we stayed in Perth, and after hearing so much about it I felt underwhelmed by the visit. Maybe it was the time of the year, not very busy, who knows. The ferry ride over from Perth was good, rough but enjoyable and yes a few were sick.Rottnest express was large, airy and very clean with friendly staff. When we landed on Rottnest we had approx 20 minutes to get to the bus for tour around the island. Commentary was provided by our guide. Seeing the staff quarters was dismayal, they looked so old and in dire need of repairs. The views from some of the stops were beautiful, unfortunately it rained for most of our island tour and we only got to get off the bus once, thankfully the rain stopped by then. It appears a lot or renovastion is happening on the island and the apartments where people can stay were being remodelled, but to be honest they looked as though they should have been completely demolished and started again. I'm just not sure how one gets to take time to view Rottnest if you don't ride a bike, there is really no way of really enjoying some of the viewpoints, no one gave us information on if and how the buses run. We wanted to do the train to the gun turrents but there was only one train and it was at the same time we had to have our lunch. Very disappointing. Pity anyone trying to eat their lunch outside of the restaurants as the seagulls are really bad, I mean really bad. As for the Quokkas they were hanging around the food areas, where people continually feed them and touch them, even though your are told not to upon first arriving on the island. People never learn and now Quokkas seem to be awake when they are nocturnal. Its far from clean, with so much poo everywhere. The shop area is pointed towards the tourists, but it seems to be highly fragmented with no one really caring. No rangers around, the place just died after lunch yet we had to hang around until 4.30pm approximate to get the ferry back. I'm flummoxed by Rottnest after all the positive celebrity publicity as what you see on the TV ads is not what we saw on our trip. Again perhaps it wasn't peak tourist time. I have no idea but I know I wouldn't race back again, but glad we saw the Quokkas.
