The entire adventure with Sandwich Dune Tours & Safari was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we were picked up to the professionalism of our guide, everything was spectacular. Daniel (our guide) was incredibly knowledgeable about the unique landscape & wildlife. He also made the tour perfectly paced, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the breathtaking scenery of Sandwich Harbour. The sight of the dunes meeting the Atlantic Ocean was a highlight, and the ample time our guide gave us to take photos made it even more memorable

We booked this half-day trip independently off the cruise ship. Dennis, our guide, met us at the port and took us on a wonderful drive through the Sandwich Bay Dunes outside of Walvis Bay. Along the way we saw jackals, seals, flamingos and tried earnestly to find oryx. The ride up and down the dunes brought out the child in each of us. The "snack" on top of the dunes was pure gourmet treat. Dennis was SUPER! He told us about the area, drove skillfully, and made out Walvis Bay outing a true memory maker. Because of this experience we would jump at the chance to come back to Namibia.

This was an exhilarating experience nearly unequal to any others. The ability to see the Namib desert connecting with the ocean would have been enough. But, driving through the dune system up and down and side to side, or climbing a dune of that size, that was unexpected. Our super expert driver Ivan made the whole thing even more spectacular. And the icing on the cake was a picnic in the desert and encountering jackals, ostrich, and seeing flamingos and seals in the wild. Beyond awesome. The tour company deserves lots of praise for organizing things so well and for waiting (for me) longer than anticipated.
