    Very well organised - myself and two children really enjoyed it. Wilfred gave a thorough briefing at the start before we put on the equipment and practiced in the pool. Then into the sea. Excellent instruction throughout, really felt safe.

    We’ve had an amazing 3-day dive with the crew. They were very professional and kind with us. My girlfriend done the open water course, meanwhile I went to dive to the beautiful Garajau National Park and to the very cool Corveta Afonso Wreck. We can’t recommend Madeira Divepoint enough, it’s a must have for divers in Madeira. Thank you Katharine, Wilhelm, Mark, Jorge, Anne and all the other instructors and guides. :)

    It was our first dive with my friend. Jorge, our scuba instructor, is one of the kindest human. I mean it, we felt safe and listened with him. In addition he is patient and very pedagogue. We loved it so much, that the next day we came back to dive with Jorge. If you dive with him, don’t worry you will have the best time !

    We had a fantastic couple of days with the Madeira Divepoint team. My partner has his advanced open water qualification but hadn’t dived for a good few years, and I had never dived before. We had an intro dive together, practising the basics in the pool and then dived in the house reef with Mark. It was a great first dive for me, and a good refresher for my partner. The next day he went on a Shipwreck dive and I was able to work towards my open water qualification with three dives with Mark and then Wilfred in the afternoon. I felt safe and in good hands throughout the whole thing. It was also my partners birthday and they really provided a great day for him with a surprise ‘happy birthday’ message underwater. We would both happily recommend Madeira Divepoint for beginners like me and for more experienced divers. Plenty of wildlife to see too. Thanks again team, we hope to come back! 🐠🐡🦑

    This is an activity that is a must do while you vacation in Madeira. The instructor and I went through the basics of scuba diving and important things to keep in mind. We then spent about 30 minutes in a saltwater pool to get familiar with the needed equipment. Here we practiced swimming with flippers, taking the mouthpiece in and out and what to do in situations that may arise while diving. After a while, we went down the ocean and hopped in. We spent nearly an hour swimming around the coastline of Funchal exploring the sea life. We saw all kinds of fish, starfish, and other marine life. The whole time, the instructor stayed close by in case an emergency came about. He consistently checked in with me to make sure that I was comfortable and safe. I quickly became comfortable even though I have never been scuba diving before. This is great for all skill levels and is certainly an experience that you have to have while you are in town.
