Groupe de 17 personnes (13 plongeurs + 4 accompagnants) ayant pris la formule safari 11 jours
Arrivés à l’hôtel, distribution de documents à remplir, fatigués après 24h de voyage.
Dès le lendemain, vous vous faites réprimander par Nadège, la patronne, parce que vous avez oublié votre nom sur la 2ème page ou votre n° de carte nitrox (pas de case prévue!) Le ton est donné.
Le club est situé à Sanur, à côté de Denpasar, là où il n'y a pas de sites de plongée.
Conséquence: 1 heure mini de speed boat pour aller sur les sites de plongée ou 2h de bus pour aller sur un site de visite. Le pilote ne fait pas la différence entre mer calme ou mer agitée. Lui, c'est à fond, à fond. Cela ne lui pose pas de problèmes puisqu'il a son casque de moto pour piloter (véridique!). Pour nous, c'est plus difficile: mal de mer et 1 cote cassée.
Côté plongées, c'est généralement bien, même si Guy, le patron, vous annonce plein de choses à voir que nous ne verrons pas. Mais nous savons que la mer est imprévisible. Néanmoins, nous avons été les premiers plongeurs en 14 ans (dixit Guy) à ne pas voir les perroquets à bosse sur l'épave du Liberty de nuit.
2ème plongée sur "Manta point": Alors que Guy nous avait expliqué lors de la 1ère plongée sur ce site qu'il ne fallait pas venir le matin à cause des snorklers qui faisaient fuir les mantas, cette plongée a eu lieu le matin (!) ça arrangeait l'équipage au niveau trajet (3h A/R quand même). Résultat: en 1 heure, 0 mantas, 1 gros nudibranche et 0 mola-mola. Dans de l'eau à 26°, les chances étaient minimes d'en rencontrer!
Nous aurions apprécié de ne pas faire la moitié des plongées du bord avec plages de galet où il très difficile de se tenir debout et s'immerger. Peut être que des plongées sur les sites de Pemuteran auraient évité ce désagrément.
Côté hébergement, heureusement nous avions été surclassé pour le 1er hotel qui faisait une promo. Dans le 2ème hôtel (un 2*), dès en arrivant, vous voyez des boules Quies sur la table. Bizarre? Eh non, entre le bruit des motos (chambre en bordure de route) des chiens et des coqs, vous comprenez leur nécessité.
Côté nourriture du midi: les boites repas sont inqualifiables. 3 dés de poulet/chamallow sur une brochette et quelques légumes. Les boites repartant pleines, Guy a dû comprendre qu'il fallait faire quelque chose et la qualité s'est (très) légèrement améliorée vers la fin.
A la fin du séjour, on vous propose les traditionnels T-shirts ( jaune et noir, à vous de voir) avec un coefficient multiplicateur de 2.5 quand même.
Bali est une ile magnifique où les plongées peuvent être sublimes (plusieurs d'entre nous étaient déjà venus les années précédentes). Nous comprenons que le club ait subi de plein fouet, la crise du Covid, mais est ce une raison pour essayer de se refaire une trésorerie sur le dos des touristes? Nous avons eu l'impression d'être des clients (vocabulaire utilisé) plutôt que des visiteurs.
A la fin du séjour, Guy nous a dit rapidement "au revoir", déjà occupé par la venue du groupe suivant.
Et c'est vraiment dommage d'être situé loin des sites de plongée et de visite.
Il y a d'autres clubs situés à proximité des sites comme à Pandang Bay par exemple. A vous de voir et bon séjour
