    When in Tongatapu, definitely book a tour with Hamala. He was so friendly, interesting and informative with a passion for his homeland. His tour offered us insights into attractions, the nation, and its people. Thankyou for doing this tour for us on a Sunday , which is traditionally church, eat, rest and family day for the Tongan people. We booked transfers with Hamala to and from the airport, which was excellent.

    Hamala's tour of Tongatapu was amazing! We got to see all of the sights of the island in a day, from the megalithic stone structure, to the beautiful caves, tsunami rock, natural land bridge, blow holes, flying foxes (which were incredible), captain Cook and Abel Tasman landing sites, fishing pigs and the 2021 tsunami damaged beach. We also had a lovely lunch at the blowholes. Hamala is extremely knowledgeable and taught me about Tongan culture, agriculture, politics and everything in between. He's a super friendly and fun guy whose English is impeccable. I could not recommend his tour enough, 10/10

    Amazing, knowledgeable with insight and heart. Our full island tour covered the whole island with sites that I never knew existed. We saw historical monuments, natural wonders and experienced the local vibes. My favorite stops, tsunami rock, raised tombs, and the land bridge.

    I visited Tonga for a week on a business trip. I wanted to experience the island while I was there, which is why I took the full island tour, and I couldn't have asked for more. We covered every famous landmark on Tongatapu, plus a snorkeling trip to one of the most beautiful reefs I've seen (If you're an aquarium enthusiast, you'll love the water in Tonga). I also used Hamala Tonga Tours to help me coordinate my business needs, which involved speaking to people about the 2022 volcanic eruption and tsunami. Hamala was very enthusiastic about this custom request and took me to survey the most severe damage; helped connect me with the right people; and helped me translate the Tongan language when needed. His attention to detail — and to my requests — made that custom part of the tour even more memorable than the more traditional one. He's the ideal guide to Tonga — especially for folks visiting from the U.S., given that he was raised in Utah.
