The Chinatown Gates are the entrance to Portland’s Old Chinatown. These gates were built in Taiwan as a gesture of goodwill from the Chinese community and then shipped to Portland where they were presented to the city in 1986.

And so, in 2003, they rented a funky storefront and got to work.
