What to expect

You’ll meet your host at the agreed location and be guided by car to a private family distillery, nestled in the peaceful Serbian countryside. The experience begins with a warm welcome and, if the season allows, a short walk through the orchard where the fruit for rakija is grown. Inside the distillery, you’ll explore the copper stills and learn about the traditional process of rakija-making, passed down through generations. Your host, a former MasterChef Serbia contestant, will share family secrets, production insights, and personal stories that bring the craft to life. Then comes the tasting: five small-batch rakijas made from plum, quince, apricot, and Williams pear, each served with a selection of local, homemade snacks – including cheese, prosciutto, and fresh bread. Whenever possible, the ingredients are sourced directly from our garden and orchard, giving you a true taste of the region. This isn’t just a tasting – it’s a moment of connection, laughter, and authentic Serbian hospitality. By the end, you’ll understand why rakija is more than a drink – it’s a symbol of heritage, pride, and togetherness.
