My 5 and 8 year old had a wonderful time at Sesame Place. I didn’t expect to go back because after the pandemic my oldest boys seemed too old, but my 8.5 year old had the best time of all. The roller coasters and family tube ride are great for older kids. He remembered before (or remembered photos) and wanted to get the character cupcakes again. A lot was the same after 7 years. They still had excellent entertainment with shows and a daily parade. I highly highly recommend visiting at the end of August. On 8/21 and 8/22 no crowds. It was much easier to see the parade than a busy time. The character dinner is a must-do and great value. Book with the hotel (Springhill Marriott is closest) for deals. The lazy river is nice and long and they let kids walk it as well. Disappointing it was closed one day, as well as some other slides. We were so happy they opened it on 8/22. There is a long ramp to enter which was fun and makes it easily accessible. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. Going for 2 days is great. If you skip the 3:00 parade on one day, lines for rides will be shorter at that time. Get there before 10 because you can beat the line to go through security, which gets long. The shows and character greetings make a trip here well worth it!

The two day ticket ended up costing me less than getting the same from the official website especially when factoring in we got two free meals included in the admission price. Great value.

Very run down and the workers are not nice. Most wont say one word to you during a transaction and if you ask a question you will receive a dirty look and "i don't know". The only workers that seemed somewhat aware that they were working at a child's theme park were the life guards at the end of water rides. All others were very rude. I can take not being friendly, I get it, but I was taken back by how rude most of the employees were and that's saying a lot as a lifelong NYer.
From a safety perspective, they often didn’t close the exit doors for rides, allowing children to run into the ride area during operation. I’m shocked children haven’t gotten seriously hurt here.
The place in general is run down and not maintained. The tables to sit are rusty. There is garbage everywhere. The water park areas are disgusting. The food areas are not clean to the point it’s hard to walk because there is garbage everywhere. They don’t bus the tables, they just leave it to the customers to do- which no one does. Also, the food is disgusting.
We couldn’t wait to get out of here. My 2.5 year old loved the characters (who were the lone bright spot).
I strongly advise you don't waste your money or a day off from work here.

I grew up going to Sesame Place and have wonderful memories there, and I was so excited to experience it again with my own kids, but it was a huge disappointment. On the day we went, EVERY water slide was closed, including the ones in the Count’s splash pad, except for the little Rosita ride which was only half open (the only lifeguard was walking back and forth in the water to let people ride and then walking back to put their tubes on the side…it was SO painfully slow and the line was insane). The lazy river was the only other thing open, but it was not being managed at all…when you entered the river, it was a complete free-for-all with no system to get a tube, so it was just a mass of people walking upriver trying to be the first to grab a tube left floating after someone exited the ride. We saw two of the shows and the parade, which were cute but SO painfully loud. My adult ears were ringing, I can imagine what it was like for kids. The bathrooms were all a disaster starting from early in the day, and you were allowed to bring in water bottles but the only place to fill them up was a plastic beverage cooler right at the front of the park, so very impractical to actually use. Overall it was just terribly run and hugely disappointing, so even though Elmo is a huge draw, I wish I had not spent the money to visit and will probably never go back.

Okay everybody this is going to be the review you need to read. Understand what the place is so that way you know what you're getting into up front. It is expensive, the food is standard basically pizza, burgers, hot dogs. A burger is almost $20 and you're going to wait in line. Now with that out of the way there are charming aspects that will be memorable for your kids as long as you work around the high dollar cost and the lines. It is worth it as long as you understand what it is. Have fun with your family focus on the good stuff.

Sesame Place is the only theme park in the US based entirely on the beloved TV show Sesame Street. Join in the fun all season long with whirling rides, splashy water slides, toe-tapping shows starring everyone’s favorite furry friends and the Neighborhood Street Party Parade.
