We had arrived to Porto that day. We were tired and feeling a little lost. But all of that dissipated once we stepped foot on the Happy Douro! Bruna, our ship’s host, could not have been more delightful! She served us some bubbly wine, a wonderful array of delicious bread and cheeses, and made every possible effort to make all of us feel welcome and spoiled. It was a perfect ending to our first day in Porto. We went down the golden Douro river, passed under all six bridges, and watched the sun set on the horizon. It got breezy on the way back to shore, so Bruna quickly supplied all of us with soft blankets. I think it was really our happiest activity in Porto. Lovely boat, small group of people instead of a huge tourist group, led to excellent personal attention. Well done, Bruna and skipper!! We would do it again. We highly recommend this boat trip and its fabulous crew❤️

Boat, guide, beverage, and charcuterie tray were nice. We expected to learn something, anything about Porto but unfortunately this tour or at least the guides on our trip provided nothing. We were disappointed as we had expected to learn something.

We had voluntarily chosen the "classic boat", as we wanted to experience something different. And it was a very special treat! To start, it was not yet the tourist season and we happened to be the only 2 passengers on board. But the cruise went ahead and we had the most fantastic afternoon, getting to know Helder, our captain and owner, and his wife Bruna. They entertained us with Port wine and delicious snacks. The "classic boat" was beautiful and beautifully maintained. And, icing on the cake, there was an exciting experience, for the most courageous and adventurous, at the back of the boat. This was definitely the best cruise on the Douro!

The boat ride in the Douro was a fantastic experience. The trip was private, which made it feel very special. The staff was incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the ride; they were friendly and professional. The views were stunning!
