We are travelers and we love Sicilian cuisine very much. With Ottavia we had
the opportunity to prepare some typical dishes in a familiar and welcoming context,
chatting about cooking and travel. We cooked homemade pasta, parmigiana, Sicilian cod and cannoli with ricotta. Excellent recipes and easy to replicate.

With friends we decided to try this culinary experience with Ottavia, what we were looking for was real Sicilian food, and not revisited, we cooked caponata, tuna with peppers, a typical Sicilian pasta starting from the dough to the final creation and excellent cannoli with ricotta What can I say, a unique experience both for the food and for the kindness and skill of Ottavia. We highly recommend.

A unique experience and way to connect to real Sicilian cooking
We had a special cooking and dining experience. The whole experience was designed to suit our preferences and with careful thought to make it fun. The food was plentiful and demonstrated local delicacies with apertivo and snacks,mussels and spaghetti vongole then we cooked gnocchi and tomato sauce, veal involtini with a Sicilian breadcrumb filling and finished our meal with ricotta canoli
We were picked and dropped off from Ortiga and the whole evening was like stepping out of travellers mode and speaking with friends about food travel and life. You’ll enjoy this most if you love local food and learning about its preparation and you’ll be guided by a wonderful host

Participating in the cooking class with Ottavia was an authentic and unforgettable experience!
Ottavia passionately transmits the love for Sicilian cuisine, explaining each recipe with simplicity and competence, and telling the tradition of the island: from caponata to Parmesan, from eggplant rolls to extraordinary pasta with sardines and wild fennel.
We prepared together a Sicilian pasta rich in aromas — garlic, olive oil, anchovies and toasted breadcrumbs — and a delicious fillet of fresh fish cooked in a pan with tomato, olives, capers and oregano, served with bread croutons. Everything perfectly balanced in flavors and presented with taste.
Ottavia manages to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, where you learn while having fun and discover the true essence of Sicilian cuisine: genuineness, warmth and conviviality.
Highly recommended to anyone who wants to live an authentic culinary experience and bring home a little 'of Sicily in the heart (and on the plate!).

Authentically non tourist experience in Syracuse - an evening where Sabrina collected my wife and I and we watched the sun go down on the Costa Bianca, a part of the city we would never have found on our own!
Then afterwards a visit to Sabrina’s home when we made local pasta with tomato sauce, followed by a swordfish dish, a yummy orange and onion and chilli salad, and rounded off with a ricotta dessert.
We were dropped off again in Ortigia - after having had an authentic local experience in congenial company
